Top Ten Tuesday #5

Top Ten Tuesday is an original meme hosted at Broke and Bookish! The top ten of this week:

April 16: Top Ten Tuesday REWIND -- pick a past topic you missed or one you want to revisit!

Seeing this is only my fifth week there are so many of these that I would love to do! But I am going to do

Top Ten series I have yet to finish

I am so bad for this. I'll start a series, get hooked on it for a bit, often even buy the rest of it and then never read them. Here are ten series that I should really go back and finish!

1. Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward, I have read the first 5 of the series and I own the next few I just seem to have stopped reading them for no good reason!

2. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, I jumped on this train late, as in after the whole series was finished so I really have no excuse for only having read the first 4...

3. Women of the Otherworld Series by Kelley Armstrong, I got caught up in this series at one point and then the next few books came out and I've never read them. I even own Waking the Witch. Keep meaning to start it.

4. Anita Blake by Laurell K. Hamilton, I have only read the first two however I own up to book 7 so there's really no excuse

5. The Iron Druid Chronicles by Kevin Hearne, I LOVED Hounded it was a fantastic read and I'm dying to read the rest of the series... I just haven't.

6. The Chemical Garden Trilogy by Lauren DeStefano I really liked Wither, just have not gotten around to picking up the next book

7. Night Huntress by Jeannine Frost, I have read the first two! They were pretty good, need to get back to it.

8. The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Claire, once again I have read the first two and loved them. I even own book 3 but it is just sitting on my shelf unloved and collecting dust..

9. Sookie Stackhouse by Charlaine Harris I have read the first 6 and I own the next 3 I just never seem to have any urge to go back to them

10.  Cassandra Palmer/Dorina Basarab by Karen Chance, I have read the first three in the Cassie series and have the first in Dorina which is to be read next sitting waiting for me to read it.

So here are some of those series I have started that I never seem to finish.. Any of these that you think I should really get on reading? What about you what's a series you

  3. I stopped reading BDB and Night Huntress too. I do plan to read the last Sookie book though to see how it all ends.
There's so many series books, it's hard to keep up! I do love the VA series though.

    1. There really are so many books in some series that I start them and never finish! I agree so difficult to keep up with them all

  4. I share your problem. A couple of weeks ago I even listed ten sequels for series I eagerly waited, bought and then didn't read yet. :D
I finished Vampire Academy and it was good. You should finish it.
Also I managed to keep up with BDB I only have last book that recently got out on my tbr. Although this series a little bit lost it's appeal. The first couple of books were the best.
I also read first two from Night Huntress and need to get back. Especially since I liked both Cat and Bones. :D

Thanks for stopping by my TTT.

    1. Thanks for the comment back! I'm so bad for that too! Waiting impatiently for a sequel to come out, buying it and then it just sits there on my shelf!
Book 3 of BDB is my favourite so far. I agree with the needing to get back to reading Night Huntress though, I really liked Cat and Bones also!

  5. Oh, I love the Night Huntress books. I still have to read the 6th one, and Vlad's books.
And you should definitely finish Vampire Academy! I'm currently reading the Bloodlines spin-off series. :D

  6. TMI and The Chemical Garden! Get going! Actually, I haven't read Sever yet, but Fever was really good. I read all of Cassie's books on release day. She's one of the few authors who has me at the book store day of.

    Check out my Top Ten!

    1. Those seem to be the two I need to work on getting to most! The sookie books are good but not amazing and there are a lot of them!!

  8. I stopped the Cassandra Clare books after #3 -- liked the ones I read, but didn't feel like I needed to continue. I'm still reading the Sookie books. They've really gone downhill, but since there's only one left, I've got to finish!

    1. Don't you hate when that happens? A series goes downhill but you just can't stop reading it even if they are super disappointing?

  9. Yeah, I'm totally like this where I seem to take quite a while to get around to finishing series books I've started. Unless it's one I'm completely crazy about, I'll take my precious finishing them up, or just starting them at all.

The next two Iron Druid books are amazing! I honestly think they go downhill after Book 3, but you may feel otherwise.
