Movies have a rating system to help guide the consumer weed out adult/violent/inappropriate kinds of films. Video games do, too. Do you think BOOKS should have a ratings system?
I do not think there should be because of the subjective nature of ratings. Even now some of the classifications books get put into make no sense to me. I wouldn't want to be deterred from reading a book based on someone else's rating.
